Hi, I’m Merran
I am so excited to be running as your Greens candidate for Casey and would be honoured to represent you in Federal Parliament.
I am a local health professional and university lecturer, ready to step up and fight for our community.
I was born and raised in the Dandenong Ranges, and am proud to once again call it my home.
Major weather events are wreaking havoc in our communities and homes, and we’re beginning to feel that no season is safe from the climate emergency. Voters here know that a massive expansion in cheap, reliable and renewable energy – not opening new coal and gas projects – is the way to a safer future.
The financial stress felt by people in Casey cannot be overstated. Almost half of our community are mortgage holders, with soaring repayments making it harder to put food on the table. The Greens have real, viable solutions to these problems – we want to regulate the banks to deliver lower mortgages, cap rent increases and invest in a government build of quality homes at prices you can afford.
I am ready to step up and fight so that everyone in our community has access to the things they need.
